Jim Kauahikaua, USGS Scientist in Charge
Class of 1969 graduate, scientist Jim Kauahikaua is the first Hawaiian and the first Kamehameha Schools graduate to ever be in charge of the Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park. View some amazing scenes from the park and learn how Jim worked his way to the top.

 
         
    Outdoor Ed: Makapu'u Rock Climb
The Kapalama Outdoor Education class reaches new heights while rock climbing up the cliffs at Makapu`u. See how students are learning real life lessons while confronting their fears on the face of a cliff. Through this experience students gain trust in each other and confidence within themselves.
 
         
    Ka'imi Pelekai: Real Hawaii Tour Company
Real Hawaii Tours is a locally owned and operated tour company that offers uniquely Hawaiian excursions along the Waianae Coast. Kamehameha Schools graduate Ka'imi Pelekai is the company's business manager and tour guide.
 
         
   

Ho'olauna Moloka'i
In Hawaiian, the word ho'olauna means "to introduce." Just like its namesake, the summer program Ho'olauna Moloka'i introduces young keiki to the lands and cultural traditions of Moloka'i.
