Taro Patch at Windward Community College
Hosting this year's Alumni Luau in June 2005 on the Kapalama
Campus, the Class of 1976 is growing their own taro on the
grounds of the Windward Community College in order to reconnect
with their "roots." This project was brought
to attention by alumnist, Thomas Young, who is working with
the Waihona Foundation, which is a co-operative of taro growers.

Moloka’i
In Hawaiian, the word ho’olauna means “to introduce.”
Just like its namesake, the summer program Ho’olauna Moloka’i
introduces young keiki to the lands and cultural traditions
of Moloka’i. |
