    A Life Dancing: Kayce Ae'a

The end of this school year brings to a close the latest Kamehameha Schools chapter for Kahele Kukea.  The long time Kapalama Campus Elementary School principal is planning a very active retirement.

With 28 years with Kamehameha under his belt, see how Kukea says goodbye to his life and his students at Kapalama.

 
         
    Kamehameha Scholars
The first annual Kamehmeha Scholars Ho`oalule`a celebrates the accomplishments of the past year and  is an opportunity for parents and scholars to work with other families to work together on a big event.  The Scholars program was created in order to offer educational opportunities to 7th graders who were not accepted for enrollment at the Kapalama Campus.
 
         
    Leadership: Princess Ruth Documentary
Think of the lands of Kamehameha Schools and immediately Bernice Pauahi Bishop comes to mind.  But there is another Hawaiian princess, Ruth Ke`elikolani, whose foresight and generosity made the Kamehameha Schools possible, and her story is the subject of a new half-hour television documentary which airs on PBS-Hawaii.
 
         
   

Hana Carpentry
This story is about a carpentry program in Hana, which teaches high school students construction basics, and in the process, builds self-esteem as well.  Rick Rutiz created the "Ma Ka hana Ka Ike"

Outstanding Seniors of 2004
