    Ho'olaule'a Preparations & Events:
The annual Ho'olaule'a is always full of family, friends, fun and good food. This year we'll take a look at all the hard work that volunteers put into the big event. Sophomore parent Jacque Kelley-Ueyoka takes us on a tour around the Ho'olaule'a just hours before the big event.
 
         
   

Service Learning:
Learning by doing is one of the fundamental principals of service learning, a combination of community service and academics. In this story we visit the Kapalama Campus for the second annual service learning conference titled, "Ma Ka Hana Ka `Ike," or "in working we learn."

 
         
   

HiTech Quest:
Over Spring Break, Peter Thoursin and Makoa Jacobsen- a senior and junior at the Kapalama campus won first place in the HiTech Quest, a statewide technology competition. The student-run conference is targeted to high school tech students and is open to all schools. Meet with these computer whizzes who used their knowledge to problem-solve.

    Charter School Partnership: Ke Kula Ni'ihau O Kekaha
Through the Ho'olakolike Program, Kamehameha Schools is aiding 11 public charter schools this year. One of the most unique is found on the West-side of Kauai. Ke Kula Ni'ihau O Kekaha is a charter school created to preserve and strengthen the Ni'ihau dialect and culture.
 
         
    Boarding Program: Curriculum
If you are a boarder at Kamehameha Schools, learning does not stop when you leave your classroom. Visit with the middle school boarders at the Kapalama campus while they learn a lesson on Lokahi.
 
         
    Hawaiian Leadership: Eric Enos
We take you to the west end of Oahu for a story about a man who is helping shape his community's future by forging connections with cultural practices of the past. Eric Enos is the founder of Ka`ala Farm, a nonprofit cultural learning center in Wai`anae Valley. His work is dedicated to helping native Hawaiians reconnect with their culture and their land.
