Charter
School Partnership: Halau Lokahi One of the best ways for Kamehameha Schools
to reach more Hawaiians is by supporting public charter schools.
Kamehameha Schools has created the Ho‘olakolike Program
to give aid to charter schools who fit the necessary requirements.
The program is giving aid to 11 charter schools this year. One

New
Plans for Keauhou
Innovative plans for the Keauhou Resort in Kona will create
a resort community that is an educational and cultural jewel
for visitors and residents. The Keauhou Resort spans nearly
2,400 acres across three ahupua‘a.
The
beautiful setting and the rich cultural significance of this
place made it a natural candidate for master planning that
integrates educational, economic, cultural and community perspectives.
Kamehameha Schools' Extension Education Division was included
in the planning effort from the very start. With a 20-year
time frame, Kamehameha Schools is now looking for a development
partner to help with implementation.
