United
Nations
We take you next to New York City and the United Nations, where a
group of young Hawaiians traveled recently to make their voices heard.
Our story comes from Lihau Hannahs, a member of that delegation. |

Literacy
Many educators believe that literacy is one of the cornerstones
of a successful educational career. Throughout the Kamehameha ohana,
we're working hard to ensure that the youngest Hawaiians start their
educational careers on the right foot. |

Alumni
Week
Kamehameha is the only school in the country that celebrates an Alumni
Week. It's a great opportunity for classmates to reunite and share
music, laughter and fellowship in a week-long array of activities. |

Hawaiian
Cultural Center Project
Creating a learning center on the Kapalama campus where Hawaiians
can engage in traditional practices is the focus of the Hawaiian Cultural
Center Project. Although the center has yet to break ground, it continues
to sponsor significant cultural events like this year's 'Aha Mana
Maoli. |

Hokule`a
For ancient Polynesians, the voyaging canoe was one of the highest
forms of technological advancement. For Hawaiians today, the voyaging
canoe Hokule`a is also a symbol, of pride, accomplishment and the
wonders of discovery and exploration. |
