State of Kamehameha

It's been another dynamic year of achievement for Kamehameha Schools, and Chancellor and CEO, Dr. Hamilton McCubbin had much to share in his annual State of Kamehameha address delivered late last month. We've posted the transcript of his speech, given on the Kamehameha Schools Hawaii campus.
Leadership

The Pauahi Leadership Institute is a brand new program devoted to nurturing emerging Hawaiian leaders. Teacher Pua Higa and Guy Hanohano Naehu, who restores fishponds on the island of Molokai are two individuals who are part of the Institute's program.

Kamehameha Scholarships

Kamehameha Schools has more than $15 million in scholarship monies this year for people pursuing post secondary education. The preliminary deadline for applications is April 1. Keaau High School teacher Jonathan Kua is a former scholarship recipient who says if you're interested in getting an education, Kamehameha can really help!

AHA Conference

Giving back. It's a concept embraced throughout the Kamehameha Schools ohana and it was the centerpiece of an alumni conference on helping others in the Hawaiian community.
Song Contest

The relationship of Hawaiians to the aina is the focus of this year's 81st annual Kamehameha Schools Song Contest. Na Mele Pana will feature songs about places beloved by Hawaiian people.
Birds

Hawaiians love for the land extends to all of the living creatures in on the land and in the sea. That commitment to stewardship is the foundation behind the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center, which is working to re-establish endangered Hawaiian forest birds.
