2017 Charles Reed Bishop Day

Charles Reed Bishop, husband to Princess Pauahi, and co-founder of the Kamehameha Schools was honored on January 25, his 195th birthday. Programs were held at all three KS campuses. At the Kapalama Campus, elementary and middles school students paid tribute to this great man. Other institutions in addition to Kamehameha Schools gathered at Mauna Ala to remember the man who was described as a “Builder of the State - Friend of Youth - Benefactor of Hawaii.”

Following the program, members of the Royal Societies greeted the students and thanked them for their participation in the Charles Reed Bishop Memorial Celebration.
