Dananananananana Bat Club!

Kamehameha haumāna are learning everything about bats and how to conserve them in the new science-based Bat Club. The purpose of Bat Club is to help expose science to middle school students through bat research with a goal of having the students present their research at the Hawaiian Conservation Conference held in July.

On Friday, Feb 2nd, Kamehameha School Maui hosted the Maui Makahiki Championship Tournament. Haumāna from Hana, Maui Prep, Maui Waena, and KS Maui all sent their best teams to compete in a variety of traditional Hawaiian games.

KSM 8th Grade Mixed Media Class participates in the Memory Project

This year, Mrs. Barsamian’s 8th Grade Mixed Media Class participated in an international service-learning project known as the Memory Project. The Memory Project is a nonprofit organization that invites art teachers and their students to raise money and create portraits for youth around the world who have faced substantial challenges, such as neglect, abuse, loss of parents, and extreme poverty. The portraits help the children feel valued and important.
