Na haumāna of Kamehameha Schools Kapalāma Elementary School were selected by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation to create ornaments to adorn a Hawai‘i Christmas tree as part of the White House’s “Christmas Tree Experience: America Celebrates.”
Their artful ornaments illustrat the beauty and rich culture of Hawai‘i and include everything from hula noho and honu, to the voyaging canoe Hōkūle‘a.
Ho‘omaika‘i to our student artists and the exemplary attributes they displayed of our E Ola Learner Outcomes. Hats off also to our elementary school Visual Arts Team: Kathy Chock, Wendy Larrow, and Tammy Aea.
