Kapili `Oihana Internship Program

Aloha Mai

This program is a tool developed in cooperation with several local businesses to facilitate opportunities for college students to experience real-life occupations. Through this venture students will gain valuable contacts and exposure to potential future employers.
Participating employers will provide a summer internship opportunity for college students to work within the company and with senior management. It will expose the student to hands-on experience, responsibilities and daily operations.
Student interns will gain career related work experience, be able to observe skill requirements and view activities and responsibilities of upper management through mentors. Early exposure will also aid in determining “fit” for careers. Upon being hired, students will also be required to attend a one day orientation session sponsored by Kamehameha Schools (KS).
Depending on the organization, some internship positions will be compensated by the employer. For non-compensated internships, students may apply for funding through the Kaulele Internship Scholarship. Information regarding this program is available by clicking on the link below.
Interested students should contact the participating employers directly. Click on the link below for a listing of all participating companies with contact names and numbers and links to their respective websites. Each employer will be responsible for accepting applications, screening, interviews and orientations to their respective companies. Application deadline may vary. See company site for information.
