Kamehameha Schools is committed to providing financial assistance to students of Hawaiian ancestry. Financial support is awarded through various Kamehameha programs such as Pauahi Keiki Scholars, Summer School programs, Post-High Scholarships, Kamehameha Schools Preschools, as well as the Kindergarten through grade 12 programs at the Kapälama, Hawai‘i and Maui campuses. All awards are made on an annual basis and are determined through various methods such as need and merit.
The Pauahi Keiki Scholars (PKS) program provides need-based scholarships to keiki ages 3 years and older currently attending or planning to attend an eligible non-Kamehameha Schools preschool. Applicants must be a state of Hawai‘i resident and eligibility is determined on an annual basis. Find a list of eligible preschools available statewide at http://apps.ksbe.edu/finaid/preschool/pauahi_keiki_scholars.
Applications for cycle I funding, for programs which run August through July, are accepted in January through April 30. If parents miss the cycle 1 window of eligibility, they may apply for cycle 2, which includes funding from January – July. The application deadline for cycle 2 is September 30.
