DIRECTOR, KAMEHAMEHA SCHOOLS PUBLISHING

Kamehameha Publishing is seeking an extraordinary leader to serve as its Director.

The purpose of Kamehameha Publishing is to support Kamehameha Schools’ mission by publishing and distributing Hawaiian language, culture, and community-based materials that engage learners as well as reinforce, and invigorate Hawaiian cultural vitality.

The next Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining productive relationships with an editorial board, authors, editors, illustrators, and others in the publishing industry and in the education and Hawaiian communities. Some of the minimum requirements include:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of experience publishing and marketing educational or cultural products, including online educational content.
• Strong background in print and video and online content development and publishing.
• Current knowledge of publishing practices and printing technologies.
• Experience with K-12 education and curricular development.
