Kamehameha Schools Campuses
Founded
in 1887, Kamehameha Schools is a statewide educational system
supported by a $6.2 billion trust, endowed by Princess Bernice
Pauahi Bishop. The system includes K-12 campuses on O‘ahu,
Hawai‘i, and Maui, and 31 preschool sites statewide. The combined
6,715 preschool through grade 12 student enrollment makes
Kamehameha the largest independent school system in the United
States. Kamehameha Schools gives preference to children of
Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law. |

| Early
Education - Kamehameha Preschools |
Since
its inception more than 20 years ago, the Kamehameha
Schools Early Childhood Education (ECE) Division has
provided over 11,000 keiki with their first preschool
experience. Today, Kamehameha Schools serves 1,317 three-
and four-year-olds at 31 preschool sites statewide.
In 2004, the ECE Division also began serving keiki from
birth to three years old, as part of its Hi‘ilani Early
Childhood Collaborative program.

Campus - Kea‘au |
| Opened
in August of 2001, Kamehameha's 300-acre Hawai‘i Campus
is located roughly seven miles south of Hilo, in Kea‘au
just off the Volcano Highway. It is currently home to
1,118 students in grades kindergarten through 12. |

Campus - Honolulu |
| The
original 600-acre hillside campus, on the island of O‘ahu,
provides an environment conducive to learning. The spacious
campus has more than 70 buildings, an Olympic-size swimming
pool, tennis courts, and a new athletic complex with a
football/soccer field, track and seating for 3,000. This
campus offers a boarding program, designed to help students
attain high academic performance, positive self-esteem,
and personal and community responsibility. The Kapālama
campus is currently home to 3,196 students, grades K-12.

Campus - Pukalani |
| The
Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus is located in Pukalani
on the gentle slopes of Haleakala. It is currently home
to 1084 students, grades K-12. Facilities at the 180-acre
campus include a 2,200-seat stadium, two full-size gymnasiums,
six classroom buildings, and two learning centers. |
