Sylvia M. Hussey

Sylvia Hussey was named Head of Educational Support Services (ESS) at Kamehameha Schools in July 2005. ESS is comprised of Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarship Services, the Hooulu Hawaiian Data Center, KS Press, Educational Technology Services and the Educational Support Office.

Hussey joined Kamehameha Schools in 2002 as an Assistant Controller in the Controller Division. Two years later, she became the Director of the newly organized Financial Aid Data Center Division, which included the Financial Aid and Scholarship Services department and the Ho`oulu Hawaiian Data Center.

Hussey is a certified public accountant in the State of Hawaii and has 20 years of experience in operations, strategic planning, information technology and business and project management. Previously, she held a range of management positions with Candon Consulting Group, KPMG Consulting, the Honolulu Board of Realtors and U.S. Souvenir, Inc.

Hussey received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

She is a member of the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Prince Kuhio Hawaiian Civic Club. A former Pacific Century Fellow, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Honolulu Zoological Society.
